So, this day, I offer you this simple Advent to read, to ponder, and maybe to make you curious about your own traditions, life, experiences, and beliefs.
That's the awareness behind EVERYTHING. Every moment. Every contact. Every thought. Every feeling. It is all one.
How do you connect to the harmony of your being? By simply BEING who you are, and by opening your heart ...
And so I continue to write and post positive affirmations and cliché quotes that are meant to inspire and I smile when people think it's over the top and I think "maybe it is, but I would rather offer this to the world than anything else." So I live my "positive" "cliché" "love is the answer" life and I love it, and I hope to inspire others to try it and see what it has to offer.

I could write paragraphs and pages and maybe even books about all the different scenarios and why it's unhelpful to dwell on them. I could explain over and over about how what we dwell on shapes and "creates" our world. I could go through explanations about energy and thoughts and the law of attraction and your ability and freedom to choose etc. etc. etc. ... I'm just going to give this simple "key" to peace that I have observed. ...
*sigh* Ridiculous is the word that comes to mind. And unnecessary. And maddening. --- I need more yoga when I think about this. (serenity now!)
And that is the point I guess ... my heart is full. And because I know that is possible in every circumstance, I understand that yours can be too in whatever you're doing. You have the power to see your life in whatever perspective you choose.
It is easy to go through life and to struggle and fight against all that happens. We think that when we have a flat tire we've hit a "hitch" in the plans and if we take an unknown turn we're off course. Not so. I do not believe that. I believe that we are each exactly where we're supposed to be for our greatest maximum potential for learning and growth.
Every moment we have a choice to drop everything and fill the needs of those around us. Sometimes we aren't able to do that, and that's ok. Those times though that we are? We should do it. We should literally drop what we had in mind, like eating breakfast and writing a blog post, and drive to the park because the kids wanted and needed it. We can look at the world around us and say to ourselves, "is there a need I am able to fill?" and then fill the need when we're able. Doing this brings a joy to life that is unmatched and not attained in any other way.
I believe that as we focus on unity and let go of the need to control and make everyone fit into the box we believe they should fit into, we will bring about a healing and a change to the world that will cleanse and replenish and lift up and lighten and brighten and strengthen and make way for peace.
I could talk forever about this and the truth is you have to figure out your own gauge. You have to follow your own joy. You have to go toward the light within you. Your way to your divine potential is unique and individual and will be your own brand of joy. It won't look like my way, don't go MY way ... go the way that sets YOUR soul free.
